The courses on Tinnitus Retraining Therapy for Management
of Tinnitus & Hyperacusis are intended for participants who provide
clinical management services for patients with tinnitus and/or hyperacusis.
The purpose of the courses is to teach the theoretical basis and clinical
implementation of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT), based on a
neurophysiological model of tinnitus and hyperacusis, so the participants
will be able to help patients utilizing this habituation-oriented
approach.
Next TRT course is
planned to be hosted in the Sheraton Hotel, Columbia, Maryland, May 3 - 5 (Sun - Tue), 2009. The course lasts three days and is approved
by AAA for 2.0 CEU credits (20 hours). This is an interactive course with small group of participants. At the end of the three days the participant should feel comfortable to start working with tinnitus and hyperacusis patients almost immediately. Extensive materials are provided.
